GOOD GOVERNANCE: The need of the hour!!

GOOD GOVERNANCE: The need of the hour

It is unfortunate to note that still 50% of the Indians have not seen a proper roof over their head. Systems and values are crumbling like structures on sand. Itchy palms of the officers need greasing now and then. Construction of invisible bridges and dams, purchasing outdated materials has become a trend. Life has become an endless struggle for survival.  Democratic values are shrinking, who is to be blamed for all these? Of course the thumb rated lousy leaders of the past

So good governance is the need of the hour. India needs a government which can stabilize the skyrocketing inflation, curb corruption, develop infrastructure and educate its youth. Altogether we need a government which can create a brand new India. It can only be possible when honest, brave, virtuous stalwart leaders govern the country. But these values seem to have taken a long day off. So the strongest dose to remedy this disease is by teaching moral and ethical values at initial stages of life.

Indians are on the path of democracy. Good governance can be possible in a democracy only when the citizens take part actively in the law making and executing process and thinking it as a shared concern. But the stark reality is that it has not even percolated into the minds of two-third of the population. This has put both the Indians and democracy in peril. Our dumb mouths never bother to ask and question the parliamentarians. Our deaf ears will be horrified to hear that more than crore rupees is spent for every assembly meeting. Our impaired hands never fight against corruption. The only time when all the MPs and MLAs are in unison is the time when there is a proposal of raising their salaries. So the youth must take part actively and fight against the problems which rock the nation’s image.

At last we just need to look back into the Vedas and learn from the epitome of governance-The reign of perfect rule. India and the world can have a auspicious future if the good thoughts of great leaders are tapped into the minds of the people. The conglomeration of the ancient administration, medivial peace, unity modern developments and commitments can make India’s future governance a “TRUE SWARAJYA”.
